Your computer has never been safe, until now! Try NetDuster and see for yourself.

1. Launch NetDuster Pro
In order to start the scanning you have to launch the NetDuster application using the blue NetDuster icon from your screen or, from the Start menu, go to Programs, NetDuster, Launch NetDuster.



2. Make your Selection and Start the Scanning.
a. Select a pre-set from the left side panel (Quick Clean, Cookie Clean, History Clean, Privacy Clean, Deep Clean or Advance Mode).




b. Placing your mouse on top of one item you will be able to receive extra information about that item.




c. Right-click your mouse on the white space next to a group and a new panel (Group Menu) will appear, giving you more control to select/unselect the desired items easier.




d. You can then click on the Scan Now button (bottom right corner).




At any moment during the Scan you can decide to Stop it using the Abort button (bottom right corner).




e. When the scan is finished a new window will pop-up presenting you the results. Click on the OK button.




f. You can see a detailed result of your scan by clicking on the + sign next to the results and expanding them.


To exempt some of the results from being cleaned simply unselect them by clicking inside the checkbox next to the item.

3. Cleaning your Computer
A new option (Clean) just appeared on the bottom right corner. Click on it to Start performing the clean.

a. At this moment you will see a warning message telling you that NetDuster needs to shut down some of your running application in order to perform a cleaning. You can decide to disable them from beeing closed & cleaned (by unchecking the small box next to the application logo) or just go through every one of them and save your current work. After this click again on Clean.




b. Hit again the Clean button. A new Warning Window will pop-up letting you know that NetDuster provides a partial rollback feature by storing scanned registry entries in an encrypted backup file.




c. Click again on Clean and NetDuster will perform the cleaning of your PC. You will also be presented with a result of the Cleaning action.




d. Click on OK and the job is done.


4. Other Features
a. The Language feature gives you the possibility to select your desired language interface.




b. The Setting feature gives you access to NetDuster main settings like: - Make backups of registry entries before cleaning.

- Check for program updates
- Show system tray info tips
- Registry Backup Manager and more

Make backups of registry entries before cleaning



Select Make backups of registry entries before cleaning and click on close and you can start the cleaning your computer.In order to prevent the complete reinstallation of Windows and consequent loss of all information on your system it is very helpful to have a backup copy of your registry available. The backup copy of the registry can then be used to restore any missing or damaged keys.


Run program when Windows starts
Click on Run program when Windows starts and click on close. You can select this option if you want Netduster to load when you are re-starting your computer. (You need to restart your computer before new settings will take effect.)




Check for program updates
Click "Check for program updates” a window will pop-up saying your current version is 2.1.0 or the latest version available and it will ask you if you want to download the update now. Click on yes and you will be directed to the site.




If you are already running the latest version you will receive the following pop-up screen:



Show system tray info tips
Click on show system tray info tips and click on close. By default, Windows XP hides all inactive icons in the system tray. This option clears the list of previous programs and removes any custom display/hide options. . (Warning: This won't have any effect until you manually restart the explorer process from the Task Manager.)




Registry Backup Manager and more
The Registry Backup feature on NetDuster will make a backup of the repaired entries after each cleaning. From these, you will be able to restore any changes made using the software.




Click on Registry Backup Manager - a new window will pop-up asking you to choose if you want to delete your Registry Backups or Merge them back into the registries. Simply select the registry files you want to change and click on your desired operation (Merge Backups or Delete Backups).




When you delete your registry backups make sure you check the Registry backup manager box or an item listed and click on delete backups. A pop-up will appear asking you if you are sure you want to delete.




Whenever you wish to restore a back up, you can click the Merge Backups button and you will see the next screen:




You can click on the cancel & close tab to exit the Registry backup manager.
